Meet The Team
Devin Bhushan, Founder & CEO
Devin is a software engineer, an early adopter of gadgets, and a die-hard San Francisco Giants fan. After graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, he started his career at Yahoo!, working on Fantasy Sports (a dream job, really). After Yahoo, Devin led the AR engineering team at Splunk. It was there where he developed a passion for AR and started dreaming of a world where AR could fundamentally transform the way we access information. In 2021, Devin founded Squint to make this dream a reality. Devin’s first use case for Squint was to attach a note on his coffee grinder to remind him of the settings required to grind beans for the french press.
Dylan Conway, Founding Product Lead
Dylan is a tech enthusiast and product manager while indoors and a camping, skiing, canoeing fanatic when outside. She started in product during her Systems Design Engineering undergrad at the University of Waterloo where she worked on auto-brightness technology at Microsoft and delivered the first ever wearable technology product for Splunk. Believing in technology’s ability to enhance our human potential to achieve and connect, she is excited to be leading product at Squint with the goal of empowering us all. Dylan first used Squint to leave notes to her partner on her dog’s snout - creating the first ever messenger [pigeon] corgi!
Jim Zhu, Founding Engineering Lead
Jim is the founding engineering lead at Squint with a background in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is fascinated by the technical intersection between the real-world and the digital-space, which naturally led him to working on multiple XR-related projects as personal side-projects, during hackathons, and for enterprises at IBM and Splunk. During his free time, Jim enjoys fishing, spending time outdoors, and playing strategy/rhythm games (civ, tw3k, chess, osu!, taiko). Jim joined Squint in early 2022 with a focus on turning everyone's crazy ideas into real working features. Squint is used frequently in Jim’s kitchen to help him track the best air-fryer times and temperatures for the crispiest fries and juiciest chicken thighs!
